Hello,
My Wife and 3 kids recently moved to Muskegon from Tulsa Oklahoma. We are fairly new to prepping. Looking for good folks to share knowledge and Ideas with. Being new to Michigan we know there must be some regionally specific preps we need to account for as well as a completely different environment than Oklahoma. We are in our early 30s.
My interest is to network and trade knowledge for knowledge. There are many things to learn and good folks to know.
What I am interested in learning but not limited to.
Long Term Food storing
Gardening/Farming
Animal Raising
Regional plants/wildlife
Winter concerns
My Background
Combat Infantry Veteran/Private Contractor/ Professional security/Firearms instruction (Federal Certifications, Commercial). I have spent most of my adult life in military or security roles with the last 6 years being in training capacities. I am in the process of changing to a career that will enable me to be home more. I am not a militia type prepper not that I take issue with that.
What I can Share but not limited to.
Security concepts and implementation
Security/Firearms training and assistance for individuals/families/small groups/large groups in fixed or mobile purposes
Up to date basic trauma techniques/first aid
Developing emergency action plans and training plans.
I am not selling or trying to make money. I am interested in trading knowledge for knowledge. In my experience "security experts" are a dime a dozen. I have this skill set to enable others now that it doesn't put food on my table occupationally.
I look forward to being a part of this forum and networking with you to better ourselves.
